God Will Get You Through

 • Series: Promise Land

Promise Land Week 4: God Will Get You Through Message Summary: We often feel like we simply can’t. We can’t go another day. We can’t get out of bed. We can’t step up and follow in the steps of Jesus. But God promises us that we can, because all things are possible for us through the Jesus who gives us strength. A Maze as Big as the World You are going to make it. Romans 8:29-30, 35-39 — For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified….35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. What are we to make of our struggles? Conformed to the image of his Son. Romans 8:29 — For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Through many hardships, we make it. Acts 14:22 — “…strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said. Our struggles: God rescues through pulling hair. Our struggles: God disciplines the one he loves. If we share in his sufferings, we will share in his glory. Romans 8:17-18 — Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. 18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
